With the close support of the Debt Centre Manager and a personal befriender, you will walk a journey out of debt. Three face to face visits will collect vital information, which is sent to CAP Head Office, where qualified Financial Advisors will create a sustainable budget. This will allow you to become debt free within a reasonable time. CAP will contact your creditors and agree how much you will pay them to clear your debts. You will pay CAP s monthly amount into your CAP Plan. CAP will then pay your creditors. The Ipswich Debt Centre serves all Ipswich plus the postcode areas IP6 and IP8.
Hope Church Community Lounge offers a cooked meal a warm welcome to everyone who attends. There are activities for those interested and our team are available to help people link to other services, including our advice, should that be helpful. Our meals are great value and can be provided at a discount if necessary.
Hope Community Lounge runs concurrently with - Conversational English classes, The Christian Advice Service and Lifeskills and Money Coaching courses.
We welcome everyone, including those experiencing homelessness and those for whom English is not their first language.
Route2Freedom is a recently established Christian charity based in Ipswich that helps those suffering from addictions, homelessness and other challenges find freedom from the past and discover a route to a better future. Our goal is to help people experience freedom from life controlling issues; whether that be homelessness or addiction. We believe that every person has intrinsic value and that offering the right support provides people with the opportunity to choose freedom. We seek to provide an environment of love and care surrounded by an atmosphere of hope and expectation. Our strategy is built around three key components:
1. The outreach team make connections with people on the streets – to meet them where they are.
2. The team build relationships, provide ongoing support and look to help signpost to other support networks who can help – rehab centres, local foodbanks, hostels, accommodation, etc.
3. The team also help connect those in need to local church communities who can provide loving, stable, caring and accountable relationships and pastoral support. Our Team is comprised of 4 support workers and team leader who work with the board of trustees to provide support to the most vulnerable. Our support workers are Natha, Liam, Esme, Helen and Team Leader Andrew.

What does the Life Skills course involve?
Life Skills is an eight-week course that will equip you with tools such as how to eat well on a budget, and how to make your money go further. You’ll meet with a group of like minded people and learn practical skills from our trained coaches – and have some fun along the way! How much does it cost?
Absolutely nothing – our Life Skills courses are completely free. Do I have to be a Christian?
Not at all – our services are for everyone. As Christians, we believe that God answers prayer, so we may offer to pray with you, and talk about our faith, but it’s up to you if you’re happy for us to do this or not. We’re a charity that is passionate about helping people from all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and faiths.
