Scope

Scope's helpline provides free, independent and impartial advice and support on issues that matter to disabled people and their families. Our advisers can answer questions and talk you through a wide range of topics connected with disability, including: benefits, finance, social care, work, equipment and assistive technology, housing and home adaptations. We can also point you to other information providers and Scope services in your local area.

When:

9am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 10am-6pm Saturday.

Selig Suffolk Springboard

This project provides supported accommodation for those who would otherwise be homeless. Unlike other supported accommodation, Selig Suffolk Springboard has a focus on empowering our residents to end their homelessness by working. This project aims to help residents move out in to their own rented accommodation within 6-9 months. Staff are employed to enable residents to achieve this. Our volunteers share life skills and host / cook communal meals.

Selling Suffolk Hope into Action Suffolk

Everyone has the right to a home and churches have the power to address the tragedy of homelessness in their community. Hope into Action Suffolk partners with local churches to enable them to house and support people of all faiths and none, all ethnicities and sexualities who have become homeless. We provide supported accommodation for up to 2 years.

When:

365 days a year, 24 hours a day

Shelter

Our advice and support services offer one-to-one, personalised help with housing issues and homelessness. On our website, find expert information about everything from reclaiming your deposit to applying as homeless, or speak to an adviser over webchat. Our free emergency helpline offers urgent advice if you are homeless, have nowhere to stay tonight or are at risk of harm or abuse in your home. Our solicitors provide free legal advice and attend court to help people who’ve lost their homes or are facing eviction.
